NT Power Scholarship Winners

In an effort to recognize young people for their service in our communities and to encourage their interest in science or a skilled trade, NT Power is pleased to award two scholarships to exceptional graduating secondary school students each year to 7 high schools. The two scholarships available are:

• NT Power Community Service Award: to acknowledge outstanding social commitment by a student who has made a positive difference in the lives of other people or enhanced the Newmarket and / or Midland-Tay communities. This award may be used to support college or university studies as well as training in an apprenticeship program;
• NT Power Math / Science Award: this award is chosen for a student who demonstrates the highest level of academic excellence in a math or science discipline. This award may be used to support students undertaking post-secondary science, engineering, or technology studies.

Both scholarships are a $500.00 cash award to be used to defray costs of the recipient’s post-secondary studies. The student must be planning to attend an accredited college or university or to participate in a recognized apprenticeship program full-time within the next 12 months after graduation.
