April 2: Continued Restoration Efforts and Incoming Inclement Weather
Published Date
Wednesday, April 2, 2025
As our restoration efforts continue, we have been able to successfully restore power to 11,725 of you since the beginning of the storm, however we understand approximately 350 of you are still without power. We understand how frustrating it is for many of you, and we want you to know that we’re continuing to do everything possible to restore service as quickly as we can.
While the weather eased up yesterday, helping with our progress, we’re unfortunately expecting more rainfall, freezing rain, and winds today. These dangerous conditions could lead to damage to both our hydro infrastructure and Hydro One’s. Please stay indoors if you can, and avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary. Stay clear of trees, and if you see a downed powerline, keep at least 10 meters back. Always assume powerlines are energized and dangerous.
Our dedicated crews are working hard this morning and will continue throughout the day despite the challenging weather expected. We’re actively monitoring the situation and will keep you updated with the latest estimated restoration times for areas without power. If you still do not see your area identified on our outage map, please let us know as winds and icy conditions may continue to cause trees to fall.
If you need any additional support or have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding during these extreme weather conditions.
